Dr. Todd Spicer

Dr. Todd Spicer was born and raised in San Diego.  Growing up in SD he loved playing sports and surfing.  He was awarded a full scholarship to play baseball at Indiana University where he tore his ligaments in his elbow and ended his career.  This is when he first started realizing he was very interested in the human body and how it works.  Dr. Spicer transfered back to SDSU to study pre-physical therapy in which he inturn received his bachelors degree. During his last year of undergrad Dr. Spicer injured his low back snowboarding and was in severe pain.  The orthopedic surgeons wanted to operate after 6 months of not getting better in physical therapy.

Finally with no other option other than surgery he was brought to a friends chiropractor and after two months was completely out of pain.  But this is where his real journey began. Dr. Spicer had suffered through life with chronic ear infections and later chronic sinusitis. He was on antibiotics every other month. After going to the chiropractor for 6 months he began to realize he wasn't getting sick anymore, this is where Dr. Spicer started realizing the true principles of chiropractic and where health really comes from. It's now been over 15 years since starting chiropractic care and he hasn't had a sinus infection and hasn't been on an antibiotic since.

His true passion in life is to educate the public that there is a better way to achieve health than the outside in approach in which drugging, numbing or surgically removing something does not create health. "We all need to understand that the body has an amazing ability to heal and it strives to be healthy".  Dr. Spicer learned through his own experiences that health doesn't come from a pill, potion or lotion. He learned that when you remove the interference within the body, the body functions the way its supposed to.

Dr. Spicer lives locally in Newport Beach with his wife and two kids. When not in the office or out in the public speaking on health, you can find him either surfing the waves in Newport in front of his house or doing jiu jitsu at The Art of Jiu Jitsu.
